Dire Dawa, Aug. 7 (WIC) - Members of the business community, civil servants and urban residents of Dire Dawa have donated over two million Birr in cash and various materials in support of the national defence forces and citizens displaced by the war. According to the national defence coordinating committee of Dire Dawa Administrative Council, the money has already been deposited at the Dire Dawa branch of the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia.
It is to be recalled that the Dire Dawa Administrative Council earlier donated 1.5 million Birr for the same purpose.
