division is mainly responsible for:- |
- Photogrammetric and
Ground Survey works including Aerial photo reproductions,
- Location Survey
- Drainage Survey
- Data processing for
Design and
- Topographic map and
hydrographic studies.

highly experienced photogrammetrists of the Enterprise have the ability to select the
safest and most economical routes. |

| TCDE’s survey crews are familiar with the harsh
weather and difficult terrain conditions of the country. |

Investigation for bridges, dam-sites, buildings and other exploratory works.

3.2.3 Material Testing Division
|
| Material
Testing division is responsible for:- |
- Laboratory testing
of soil, aggregates, concrete, asphalt and related construction materials and
- Asphalt and
concrete mix design
|
|
| TCDE is well known by its big laboratory equipped with
modern construction materials testing instruments. The laboratory is the first of its kind
in the country. |
3.2.4
Routes & Facilities Design Division

| The
major services rendered by this division are:- |
- Geometric design of
roads
- Geometric design of
airports and
- Geometric design of
other transportation facilities
|

| The design of most of the roads and all airports and
airfields of the country are the result of the rich experience of the design staff of
TCDE. Currently, TCDE’s designers are producing computer-aided design using widely
applicable design software such as Stardust and SDR mapping and design software. |
3.2.5 Bridges &Structures Design Division

| This
division is mainly responsible for:- |
- Design of bridges
and
- Design of other
types of structures
|

| The biggest bridges in the country like Baro river
bridge (305m), Beshlo river bridge (338m) Tekeze river bridge (298)and Jema river bridge
(260 m) are designed by the bridges & structures design division of TCDE. |
