National Trading Company is associated with one of the oldest and most established private companies in Ethiopia,BEKELE MOLLA HOTELS(PVT.LTD.CO). Bekele Molla Hotels owns and operates 13 hotels & motels in the southern part of the country.

National Trading was set up in 1994 as a general trading company specializing in retail, wholesale and distribution business. The company started out mainly by distributing products manfactured by other sister companies. This incorporated the various products of HELENA HEALTHCARE PRODUCTS(PVT.LTD.CO.),which is engaged in the manfacturing of toilet soaps, laundry soaps,cosmetics items and perfumeries. ETHIOPIAN INDUSTRIES (PVT.LTD.CO) is another affiliated company which produces ball point pens. The products of this company are also distributed by National Tradingi

In December 1995, our company, through the government's privatization program, acquired a Shopping Complex (Tana Department Store.). This complex is the largest & the only of its kind in the nation. It has a modern shopping set up with a total floor area of 7500 m2. It is ideally located in what is traditionally called MERKATO.

Total capital of the establishment = USD 15 MILLION.

The distribution network is structured in the following manner.

Main Distributor - Regional Distributor - Branch - Wholesalers - Retailers. This set up is both cost effective and efficient.
