RESEARCH IN THE COLLEGE:

Research is being given significant priority
since the outset:

establish student interest and excitement for the production of health professionals
who could contribute for the
development of sciences and technology in the country

contribute to the advancement of knowledge of health and disease

Because of the central role which research plays in supporting teaching.
A particular strength of GCMS in this respect is in its:
2. ELIGIBILITY TO PARTICIPATE IN OR CARRY OUT A RESEARCH
PROJECT IN THE COLLEGE
Any party (individual or group) who is an employee of the college is eligible to carry out any research project and have access to available facilities provided that he/she has got approval and ethical clearance from the Research and Publication Committee of the college. However, non employee who is interested in conducting joint research project in the college must have a formal link with the college. This link can be established by:
a. Providing a substantial input in a
funded research project where the research
grant is administered by GCMS, OR
b. Being a member of or having affiliation with a partner school, OR
c. Setting a collaborative agreement with any department or staff of the
GCMS.

(community laboratory) which is
well suited to any form of community based study.

Access to any form of assistance in designing
and analysing collaborative research project.
The ability to register and attend meeting
held in the college on a variety of researches
related topics.

can often be used for data processing,
analysis, interpretation and publication.
The possibility of getting financial support
for projects from the college research fund.
