Eritrean
Regime to Distribute Urban Land to its Supporters Abroad: Document
Mekelle,
June 29 (ENA)--The Eritrean regime has prepared a new document that would enable
to distribute urban plots of land in Asmara to those Eritreans in the Diaspora
who supported the incumbent government in its war of aggression against
Ethiopia.
According to the document prepared under the title “Plan of
distribution of land for Eritreans living abroad”, the land would only be
given to those Eritreans who had completed their monthly payment (2 per cent of
their monthly salaries or income), raised for the Eritrean defense efforts until
1999.
Those citizens of Eritrea who had failed to finalize the payment during
the reported period would not be entitled to get the land, the document
indicated.
The document also mentioned that Eritreans who could fulfill the criteria were required to fill the document until June 30 paying 20 US dollars each to Eritrean embassies in the respective countries across the world.
