15,000 Ethiopians Languishing in Internment Camps in Eritrea: BBC

Addis Ababa, June 28 (ENA)-- Around 15,000 Ethiopians have been detained in eight make-shift internment camps in Eritrea under the pretext that they have not resident or work permit, BBC reported.

According to the radio broadcast on Tuesday, the Eritrean authorities imposed unaffordable 600 Nakfa (Eritrean currency) fine on Ethiopians to be released.

The radio quoted diplomatic sources as saying 30,000 Ethiopians volunteered for repatriation.
