Over
4 Billion Dollars loan expended on implementation of Dev't projects: MEDaC

Ababa, June 5 (ENA)--Over 4 billion dollars obtained in loans during the last 10
years from donor countries and institutions has been expended on the execution
of various development projects, the Ministry of Economic Development and
Cooperation (MEDaC) said.
The
Ministry told ENA recently that the country secured over 7.8 billion dollars in
the reported period.
More
than 2.4 billion dollars of the loan was obtained from 19 countries while the
balance from international donor agencies, MEDaC said.
The U.S.A, Japan, Italy, Sweden and the Netherlands were among the major
creditor countries, the ministry said.
It
said the development projects carried out with the loan focused mainly on the
areas of agriculture, road construction, education, health, power generation,
food security and telecommunications.
