Professor Eshetu Wochenko Appointed New AAU President

 Addis Ababa, June 5 (ENA)--Professor Eshetu Wochenko has been appointed president of the Addis Ababa University (AAU) as of June 8, 2001, the ministry of Education said.

 The government and the AAU board had separately endorsed the nomination of Professor Eshetu of the statistics department, science faculty, AAU, the ministry said.

 The new AAU president was made professor last February.
