Ministry Says Diparity Between Countries Causes Unequal Education Access
Addis Ababa, July 18(ENA)--The socio-economic disparity and polarization existing between the countries of the world was caused mainly by unequal access to educational opportunities, the ministry of Information said.
In statement it issued here on Friday, the ministry said it is clear that those countries who invested more in education and training programs are producing highly qualified and sufficient quantity that led the development of the world economy.
Needles to say that those countries who failed to embark on human resources development as their priority task are wallowing in deplorable conditions of poverty and backwardness.
"Hence there is no other means than education, which serve humanity best to harness nature to satisfy its needs,' the statement said.
The government of Ethiopia conscious of the decisive role of education and training has initiated and launched a viable reform program to the sector.
