President al-Bashir Expresses Desire to Construct Additional Roads Linking Ethiopian, Sudan
Addis Ababa, July 16(ENA)-- Sudanese President, Omar Hassen al-Beshir expressed his country's desire to undertake the construction of additional roads linking with Ethiopia.
President al-Beshir said his country was pleased with the construction of the Gadarif-Metma-Gallabt road that links the two countries, and expressed his country's decision to asphalt the road.
The Sudanese president made the remark on Wednesday during talks with the high-level Ethiopian government delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Adissu Legesse.
President al-Bashir has also expressed his countries desire to construct additional roads that would link the two countries along the Humera and other bordering localities, the Ethiopian Ambassador to the Sudan, Qadaf Mohammed Hanfire, who attended the discussion said.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Rural Development, Adissu Legesse on his part said the longstanding economic and cultural ties between the two countries would further be manifested in a people-to-people relation.
The deputy prime minister has delivered a message sent by President Girma Woldegiorgis to President al-Beshir.
Addisu has on the occasion expressed his condolence on behalf of the Ethiopian people and government for the Sudanese who lost their lives during the recent plane crush.
Addisu has also met and held talks with the Speaker of the Sudanese Parliament, Ibrahim Al-Tahir.
During talks with the Speaker, Addisu pointed out the good relations that has recently been established between the parliaments of the two countries, and expressed his conviction that this relation would further be strengthened.
The delegation has visited a security printing house where money and other secret documents are printed.
