Commission Files Suits Against Four Individuals On Charges Of Withdrawing 70,000 Birr With Forged Cheque
Addis Ababa, July 14(ENA)--Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission filed suits against four individuals on charges of withdrawing over 70,000 Birr with forged cheques from the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia.
According to the suits filed by the Commission's Prosecutor to the Federal High Court on Monday, the individuals were charged with withdrawing the sum with seven cheques they stole from the Coffee Technology Promotion and Engineering Enterprise.
The defendants were former employees of the enterprise.
The court ordered the prosecutor to produce its evidences against the accused.The court adjourned the trial until August 6, 2003.
