Addis Ababa, July13(ENA)--A high level Ethiopian delegation led by Prime Minister Meles Zenawi arrived in London on Saturday to attend the progressive governance summit of heads of state and government.

The delegation was welcomed by senior government officials of the United Kingdom.

Prime Minister Meles was invited to attend the summit by British Prime Minister, Tony Blair.

Some 13 heads of state and government are expected to attend the summit, which will discuss the issues of trade, the response to the humanitarian crisis, energy and security, among others.

A separate but parallel conference, which will be attended by House Speaker Dawit Yohannes and Neway Gebre-Ab, Economic Advisor to the Prime Minister, will precede the summit.

The UK will be hosting the leaders of Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, New Zealand, Poland, Romania, South Africa, Sweden and Ethiopia.
