31 People Suffer Serious, Minor Injuries

Addis Ababa, July13(ENA)--Some 31 people suffered serious and minor injuries on Saturday evening in a bomb blast thrown by an individual into a hotel in an area known as locally 'Megenagna' here in the metropolis, police said.

The Addis Ababa Police Commission told ENA on Sunday that three of the injured who sustained heavy injuries were under intensive medical care in Black Lion Specialized Hospital.

Hospital sources said 28 of the injured returned home after receiving first aid treatment in the Black Lion and Zewditu hospitals.

The grenade was reported to have been thrown into a hotel called "Segen" located near Megenagna, according to the police.

According to the hotel administrator, there were about 200 people including employees of the hotel when the acciednt occured at 9:30 P.M. on Saturday.
