Eritrea, Yemen face new crisis
Addis Ababa, July 28 (ENA)--Eritrea and Yemen have been in dispute over fishing rights, Al-Sharq al-Awsat reported in its issue of 26 July 2001.
According to the newspaper, Eritrean authorities had earlier this month seized 106 Yemeni fishing boats.
Yemeni president Ali Abdalla Salih recently wrote a letter to Eritrean president dealing with the seriousness of the issue and called for the boats to be released.
The official Yemeni news agency said, Eritrean authorities had arrested Yemeni fishermen.
Yemeni blames Eritrea for mistreating its citizens and the illegal seizure of property, according to the newspaper
