Assosa,
July 3, (ENA)-- The Benishangul-Gumuz State Works and Urban Development, Mines
and Energy Bureau says it has launched work on the asphalting of the main roads
in Assosa town with an outlay of 23.7 million Birr.
Engineering
department head with the Bureau, Berhanu Hailu, said of the 20-km asphalt road
planned to be constructed in the town, the first phase covering 5.9 km has
already been started.
The
construction of the road would be carried out in tune with the town's master
plan, he said, adding the building up of the roads would be completed with in 16
months.
