Addis Ababa, July 5, (ENA)---President Negaso Gidada says his country is keenly interested in strengthening its bilateral relations with Turkey particularly in the areas of trade, investment and tourism.
Receiving
the credentials of the newly appointed Turkish ambassador to Ethiopia, Kenan
Tepedelen, here on Thursday Negaso said Ethiopia was ready to work together with
Turkey in various areas of cooperation.
The
president urged the ambassador to play his part in the efforts deployed to
identify potential areas of cooperation and reinforce the existing ones, a
spokesperson of the ministry of foreign affairs said.
Ambassador
Tepedelen said on his part that he would do his level best to further
consolidate the existing bilateral ties between Ethiopia and Turkey.
Ethiopia
and Turkey established diplomatic relations in 1925.
