Quaddafi to arrive here on Saturday
Addis Ababa, January 31 (ENA)-- The Libyan leader Col. Muammer al- Quaddafi will arrive here in Addis Ababa on Saturday for an official visit to the country.
A spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told ENA on Friday that Quaddafi, who will attend the first African Union extra-ordinary heads of state and government summit, will arrive ahead of the summit upon the invitation of Prime Minister Meles Zenawi.
The two-day African Union extra-ordinary head of state and government summit commences in Addis Ababa, the head quarters of the AU, on Monday.
The second extra-ordinary meeting of AU Foreign Ministers would open here on Saturday as well.
Meanwhile, Foreign Ministers and delegates of various African countries have arrived here on Friday to attend the AU extra-ordinary summit.
Foreign Ministers and delegates of Djibouti, Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, South Africa and Egypt were among the officials that arrived today.
Upon arrival at the Bole International Airport the Ministers and delegates were welcomed by senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
