Meles receives Mauritania president message

Addis Ababa, January 27(ENA)--Prime Minister Meles Zenawi received on Monday a message of Maawiya Ould Sid Amed Taya, President of Mauritania.

Sid Elmoctar Ould Nagi, special envoy of the president, delivered Taya's message to Meles.

Prime Minister Meles and the special envoy discussed on the occasion issues of common interest between the two countries.

Ethiopia and Mauritania are member states of the UN, the African Union, the Non-aligned Movement, the European Economic Commission as well as the African, Caribbean and Pacific Countries Alliance.
