MfM Distributing 32 Million Birr Worth Relief Food To Drought Affected People

Addis Ababa, January 27(ENA)-- Menschen fur Menchen (MfM), a humanitarian organization, says it has been distributing food grain and nutritious food it purchased with over 32 million birr from local market to drought affected people in various parts of the country.

MFM Deputy head Kotera Yohannis said on Monday that 190,000 quintals of maize and 15,000 quintals of nutritious food is being distributed for over 222,000 needy in Somali and Harari states as well as West and East Harerege zones of the Oromia State .

He said 144,000 people in Babile zone of Somali state and Habru woreda West Haregi zone have been receiving the relief food enough from three to eight months.
