Addis Ababa,Feb. 22(ENA)--Addis Ababa is preparing to host an international trade exhibition to open this coming Monday. Agricultural and industrial enterprises as well as importers and exporters drawn from 26 countries are expected to take part in the grand trade event.

The Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce told ENA that the weeklong Addis Chamber International Exhibition would see the participation of 110 foreign and 149 local businesses.

The Chamber said the exhibition would serve as a viable forum enabling the business community to widen their operational horizons and to share experiences.

The weeklong event would also be instrumental for enterprises to promote their products and services to local as well as foreign consumers, it indicated.

The wide participation of foreign enterprises is indicative of the fact that Ethiopia is attracting the attention of the outside world, according to the Chamber.

The Chamber meanwhile indicated the need to build wider and state-of-the-art exhibition centers to be able to accomodating the increasing applications to participate, such as seen in the upcoming event.

Many applicants missed out the opportunity due to space limitations, it added.
