AAU Medical Faculty Graduates 58 Doctors
Addis Ababa, Feb. 22(ENA)--Some 58 students graduated with doctorate degrees up on completion of a seven-year training in the field of medicine at the Medical Faculty of the Addis Ababa University.
Six of the graduates are reported to be females while one of them is a Korean citizen.
University President, Professor Endrias Eshete handed over the degrees to the graduates and prizes to outstanding students.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Prof. Endrias said the faculty was engaged in designing a program aimed at strengthening its capacity of producing skilled manpower.
He said the faculty has graduated 1,468 students in its under-graduate and 896 specialists in post-graduate programs since its inception 39 years ago.
Dr. Sara Mekonnen was awarded a gold medal for her academic excellence.
