Mauritius donates 10,000 US dollars to drought victims
Addis Ababa, February 6(ENA)-- The government of Mauritius has donated 10,000 US dollars in support of people affected by the prevailing drought in Ethiopia, the Disaster Prevention and Preparedness Commission (DPPC) said.
DPPC told ENA on Thursday that similarly the Ethiopian Embassy in Saudi Arabia and the Ethiopian Evangelical Church have contributed 68,435 US dollars and 30,000 US dollars respectively for the same purpose.
In a related development, a drought support city bank established by Ethiopians in New York has given 9,000 US dollars while the Ethiopian Privatization Agency and the Federal Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission donated a total of 14,866 Birr.
