African Heads of State, Government Continue To Arrive Here For Summit

Addis Ababa, February 2(ENA)-- African Heads of state and government have continued to arrive in Ethiopia to take part in the first extraordinary summit of the African Union (AU) to convene as of Monday.

Omar Hassan Al-Beshir, president of the Sudan, Festus Gontebanye Mogae, president of Botswana, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, president of Algeria , Blaise Compaore, president of Burkina Faso and Ismail Omar Guelleh, president of Djibouti arrived here on Sunday.

The presidents were accorded warm welcome by Prime Minister Meles Zenawi, AU Interim Chairperson, Amara Essy, senior government officials and resident diplomats.
