AACC, Indian business firms sign memorandum of understanding

Addis Ababa, Feb. 26 (ENA)--The Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce (AACC) signed here on Tuesday two separate memorandum of understanding with the delegation of the Indio-African Chamber of Commerce and Industries, and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

AACC president, Birhane Mewa and AACC Secretary General, Hussein Shibeshi signed the memorandum of understanding with CII Managing Director, Laxma Reddy and Executive Committee Member of the Indio-African Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Subhash Shah, respectively.

The agreements focus on the exchange of trade and investment-related information, trade inquiries and business proposals as well as on the development of joint ventures and transfer of technologies, among others.

Both sides said on the occasion that the agreements would enable to further enhance the existing volume of the Ethio-Indian bilateral trade, which has been witnessing a marked increase over the past few years.

A 26-member of Indian trade mission is here to attend the 6th Addis Chamber International Trade Fair.
