Ethiopian Murder Defendant in Bahrain Confirmed Mentally Unhealthy
Addis Ababa, Feb. 14(ENA)--An Ethiopian migrant indicted in Bahrain for the murder of her employer was reportedly confirmed a neurotic.
Yeshiwork Desta had earlier received a death sentence but a trial resumed after appeal was made.
Accordingly, a psychiatrist confirmed that Yeshiwork was not mentally healthy at the time of the crime, the Gulf Daily News reported.
This latest result disproved an earlier medical report by another psychiatrist, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs quoted the newspaper as saying.
Yeshiwork's attorney has already submitted the latest medical report to the appeal hearing court in Bahrain.
The attorney said, "Yeshiwork would never have committed the crime, had she been in a healthy mental state."
