Addis Ababa, Dec. 23(ENA)--Workers of the Disaster Prevention and Preparedness Commission (DPPC) have donated over 89,000 Birr in support of citizens affected by the drought induced food shortage.

The Commission told ENA on Monday that the donors include employees of the headquarters, the food reserve administration and the disaster prevention and preparedness fund.

The workers made the donation after discussions on the magnitude of the food emergency situation in the country.
