Addis Ababa, Dec.17(ENA)--The Ethiopian federal government has appointed professor Andrias Eshete as president of the Addis Ababa University (AAU).

Minister of education Genet Zewde told ENA on Tuesday that the appointment of vice presidents of the university will be also announced soon.

The former leadership of the AAU resigned last week, the ministry of education recalled.
