GRDA members discuss emergency situation, donate 25,000 Birr for Drought-hit people

Addis Ababa, December 8(ENA)--  Members of the Gondar Rehabilitation and Development Association (GRDA) discussed here on Sunday issues related mainly to collection of emergency relief for drought affected citizens. The members have contributed more than 25,000 Birr.

The members during their extra-ordinary meeting indicated the need for all-out and integrated endeavors to helping the government's efforts of life saving.

Association President birhanu Asres on the occasion called for due attention to pre-empting the drought induced cattle diseases.

He urged natives of Gondar in the country and the Diaspora to donate funds for the purpose for which the Association in close integration with governmental and non-governmental organizations has enhanced efforts.

The members in Addis Ababa and its environs on the occasion contributed funds ranging from 100 to 2000 totaling the reported sum.
