British MPs, NGOs agree to request their gov't to allocate funds for Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, Dec. 3(ENA)--Ethiopian friends in the British Parliament's House of Commons unanimously agreed to request their government to allocate funds immediately to the drought induced emergency situation in Ethiopia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

The Ethiopian Embassy in London had organized the joint meeting by the members of the House of Commons and representatives of the British non-governmental organizations operating in Ethiopia.

The press and information department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs quoted the Ethiopian Embassy in London as saying that both parties agreed to press their government to donate funds for emergency situation in Ethiopia and for sustainable development.
