AIDS Council To Set UP Communication Network: Official
Addis Ababa, Aug. 9(ENA)--The National HIV/AIDS Prevention Council (NHAPC) announces plan to establish a communication network that would enable it disseminate accurate information about the epidemic among concerned institutions including mass media.
The National HIV/AIDS Project Coordination Deputy Team Leader with the council, Sirat Kelemework said the council has finalized preparation to establish the network, which he said, would help it avoid the dissemination of inaccurate information about HIV/AIDS to the public
The council would set up a strengthened communication link with the mass media in particular to be able to feed undistorted information about HIV/AIDS to them, he said.
Representatives from the council, Ministry of Health and mass media took part in the workshop, organized by the Canadian Embassy, Panos-Ethiopia and the Sun, a weekly English tabloid,
