Addis Ababa, Aug.5 (ENA)--The U.S Agency for International Development (USAID) has announced a two million USD grant package to eight organizations that will be helping people living with HIV/AIDS.

The grant was the first to be issued through a new program designed to channel support to locally-based groups that are providing direct services to sick people, USAID press release said.

The grants were announced for local organizations in Ethiopia, Rwanda, Honduras, Malawi, Kenya, Zambia, Russia and India, the release noted.
