Respect
of people's human, democratic rights said vital to build capitalist economy
Addis
Ababa, August 14 (ENA)--The respect of people's human and democratic rights was
indispensable for the establishment of a sturdy capitalist economic system in
the country, Minister of Economic Development and Cooperation said.
Girma
Birru told ENA recently that the respect of people's constitutional rights to
self-determination up to session was helpful in jointly and equally utilize the
nation's resources.
The
equitable utilization of the country's resources in turn consolidates the
people's solidarity and lays a fertile ground for the establishment of a robust
capitalist economic system, the Minister said.
He
said the recognition and respect of the languages and cultures of nations and
nationalities was a key element in the process of building a strong economy.
Given
the existing reality of the country, revolutionary democracy was more suitable
than liberal democracy to fully ensure the rights of nations and nationalities,
Girma said.
