Cadres of HNL vow to promote principles of revolutionary democracy

Jijiga, August 11 (ENA)-- Cadres of the Harari National League have reaffirmed their readiness to uphold and work for the implementation of the tenets of revolutionary democracy.

  In a resolution they passed at the conclusion of their 17-day meeting on Saturday the cadres said revolutionary democracy was the best option to ensure human and democratic rights of nations and nationalities.

  The cadres also vowed to instill the concepts and objectives of revolutionary democracy among the public in the area.

  They said corruption, dependency, chauvinism and narrow nationalism have been witnessed in the region over the past 10 years due to the absence of transparent political system.

  The cadres also expressed their willingness to join hands with democratic forces and fight for the prevalence of a transparent administrative system in the state.

   Meanwhile, cadres of the Somali People Democratic Party said revolutionary democracy was instrumental in effecting quick and sustainable development in the region, head of the state administration said.

   Revolutionary democracy was also crucial to improving the living standard of the farmers in the state, Abdureshid Duleni, who is also chairman of the party, quoted the cadres as saying.
