ENA
launches medical bulletin
Addis
Ababa August 10 (ENA)--The Ethiopian News Agency (ENA) has begun publishing a
medical bulletin for the first time in its 59 years of wireless service, acting
general manager of the agency said.
Haddush
Kassu said the bulletin entitled " Medical World" focused on studies
and new findings on HIV/AIDS.
The
bimonthly bulletin would contribute towards addressing the multifarious health
problems in the country, Haddush said.
He said the publishing of the bulletin was part of the agency's efforts
to expand the scope of its services in addition to reporting and writing hard
news stories.
Medical
professionals working at private and governmental health institutions said the
bulletin has enabled them to obtain latest international medical information
particularly on HIV/AIDS.
National AIDS Council secretariat, Dr. Dagnachew Hailemariam, said
efforts should be made to publish the Amharic version of the English bulletin.
General
manager of the Labora International Trading, Dr. Bewketu Tadesse, expressed on
his part his readiness to offer professional help.
General
manager of Bete Zata Health service, Dr. Ermyas Mulugeta, said the bulletin
