Fines Aircraft 5,000 USD For Violating Air Traffic Rules
Addis
Ababa, Augst 8(ENA)--A passenger plane, which landed here at the Bole
International Airport last Saturday with out the permission of the country's
civil aviation authority, was fined 5,000 US dollars, the authority disclosed
here on Wednesday.
The
authority said in a statement that the aircraft belongs to a company known as
Ross Air Executive Air Charter PTY Limited under the registration of the South
African government.
The statement said the aircraft was permitted earlier to fly from
Khartoum to Addis Ababa, but it flew From Asmara to Addis Ababa Via the Red Sea
changing its flight schedule and route with out informing the authority.
The plane landed here violating traffic rules claiming to catch a VIP,
the statement said.
