AddiS Ababa, April 20(ENA)--"Alem Arts Center"- a state-of-the-art theatre hall constructed at the heart of the city by Olympic Gold Medallist, Haile Gebresilassie was inaugurated on Saturday by the Addis Ababa City Mayor, Arkebe Equbay.

The 400-seat theatre is named after Haile's wife Alem Tilahun.

Apart from screening films, the facility is a suitable venue to stage plays and musical shows.

Arkebe has praised Haile as not only a star of the track, but also as a man contributing his share in the development of his country.

Haile said on the occasion that the current investment code of the country is encouraging and helpful to ameliorate unemployment problem.

The Hall was inaugurated in the presence of Ministers, ambassadors, executives of international organizations and other invited guests.
