Nearly 670 Cataract Patients Regain Sights
Addis Ababa, April 18(ENA)-- Nearly 670 cataract patients from Arsi and East Shewa Zones in Oromiya State have regained their sights after undergoing an eye surgery at Shashemene Hospital, the hospital said.
Eye Surgery Specialist with the hospital, Dr. Negussie Jote told ENA on Friday that the patients, who lost their sights for over 10 years, have now been able to see through surgery conducted by the Lions Club in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.
The Club has managed to conduct the surgery at the hospital in ten days.
The club is providing similar services to patients living in various parts of the country.
