Freedom House dubs Eritrean government one of few most repressive regimes
Addis Ababa, April 10(ENA)--The U.S. based Freedom House, a well recognized human rights watch, listed Eritrea's government as one of the few most repressive governments in the world, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
The Freedom House disclosed its record rating during the 59th UN Human Rights Commission Meeting, the ministry quoted the Ethiopian permanent envoy to Geneva.
The Freedom House listed the Eritrean government in its special publication, "The World's Most Repressive Regimes, 2003" distributed on 7 April during the session on "Civil and Political Rights", the press and information department of the Ministry told ENA on Thursday.
