Addis Ababa, April 5(ENA)--Some 150 health institutions are under construction in various parts of Oromiya State at a total cost of 133 million Birr, the State Health Bureau said.

Bureau Head, Dr. Tibebu Alemayehu told ENA over the weekend that 117 of them are outstanding while the remaining are new health institutions.

The health facilities are being constructed in capitals of the woredas and rural areas of the state, where there is no access to health care services, he said.

He said 113 of them are health stations.

Work on the construction of outstanding health projects would be completed during this Ethiopian budget year while on that of the new ones in 1996 E.C.

More than 2.6 million people in the state are expected to be benefit from the projects.

There are 20 hospitals, 112 health stations and 1,012 health posts in the state.
