Newly Appointed Ethiopian Ambassadors to Mozambique, Qatar Present Credentials

Addis Ababa, April 3(ENA)--The newly appointed Ethiopian ambassadors to Mozambique and Qatar have presented their letters of credence to officials of the respective countries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

Press, Information and Documentation Main Directorate with the Ministry told ENA on Thursday that the Zimbabwe-based Ambassador Dena Mufti has presented his credentials as Ethiopian Special Envoy and Plenipotentiary to Mozambique to President Joaquim Chissano.

Dena said on the occasion that Ethiopia has a strong conviction that the 2nd African Union (AU) heads of state and government meeting to be held in Maputo next July would be successful.

Dena also said his country was willing to further strengthen its diplomatic and bilateral ties with Mozambique.

Similarly, the Kuwait-based ambassador Hanfere Alimerah has presented his credentials as Ethiopian Special Envoy and Plenipotentiary to Qatar to Emir of that country, the Directorate said.

Meanwhile, Ambassador Musa Morad, the Ethiopian Special Envoy and Plenipotentiary to Kenya has presented his letter of credence as representative of Ethiopia to the UN HABITAT to the organization's Secretary General, Mrs. Anna Kajumulo Tibaijuka.
