Ethio-Djbouti Joint Ministerail Commission Concluded Signing Agreements

Addis Ababa, May.21(ENA)--The eighth Ethio-Djibouti Joint Ministerial Commission Meeting concluded here on Thursday by signing various agreements aimed at further enhancing the bilateral cooperation and friendly relations between the two countries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

In its statement sent to ENA on Friday, the Ministry said the Joint Commission had reached consensus that would enable to further develop the benefits of the two countries after wide-ranging discussions on political, social and economic affairs.

The agreements that were signed by the two sides were in the areas of security, port service, trade, investment, among others, the statement said.

The two countries had also reached consensus to establish a committee to be drawn from executive offices of the two nations that will follow up the implementation of the agreements, it said.

The Commission had also agreed to hold the Joint meeting sustainably and the next Joint Commission be held in Addis Ababa, the statement said.

An experts Meeting that prepared agendas for the Ministerial commission was held prior to the meeting, according to the Ministry.
