Consulate office promotes Ethiopia's image at exhibition in Beirut
Addis Ababa, May 20(ENA)-- Ethiopian tourist attractions, coffee ceremony, traditional music instruments, clothings and cusine have been displayed at an exhibition staged in Beirut, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told ENA in a press release.
The Ethiopian consulate office in Beirut participated in the exhibition held at the St. Joseph University, the Ministry quoted the Ethiopian Embassy in Lebanon as saying.
The exhibition provided an opportunity for the Consulate office to draw lessons for an exhibition it is planning to organize in Beirut in collaboration with the Ethiopian community there, the release quoted the consulate office as saying.
The exhibition served as a venue promoting the image of Ethiopia among expatriates in Beirut, the release said.
The exhibition was visited by about 1,000 people, it said, adding various posters featuring African images were displayed.
A panel was held on the final day of the exhibition on the title: "Discussion on Africa", it said.
Participants of the panel called on universities in the world to help capacity building efforts in Africa.
More than 100 university students and scholars attended the panel.
