Addis Ababa, May 19(ENA)--The Ministry of Water Resources said a conference that would discuss the effective development and utilization of underground water would convene here in the metropolis next Tuesday.

In an interview with ETV on Wednesday, Executives of the Ministry said the conference would help Ethiopia to design Subterranean Water Development Strategy.

Some 73 various research papers on underground waters are expected to be presented in the course of the three-day conference, they said.

Various underground water drilling machines and other equipment necessary for studying the prevalence of water which are manufactured by different companies in various parts of the world would also be displayed in an exhibition to be held as part of the conference, they said.

The convening of the conference is aimed at identifying problems and solutions on the digging of underground water existing in the country, the executives said.
