MASHAV head arrives for three-day visit in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, May  18(ENA)-- A delegation led by Ambassador Arik Arazi, Deputy Director General of Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and head of the Israeli Center for International Cooperation (MASHAV) is to arrive here later on Tuesday for a three-day working visit.

The Israeli delegation will hold a series of discussions and working meetings with Ethiopian authorities to further advance MASHAV's activities in Ethiopia, the Israel Embassy here told ENA.

The Embassy quoted Israel Ambassador to Ethiopia Doron M. Grossman as saying that Ethiopia was a priority country for MASHAV's activities.

Ambassador Grossman, on the ever of the visit of the head of MASHAV, also reiterated his country's commitment to aid achieve the development goals of Ethiopia.

Ambassador Arazi is accompanied by Shlomo Yeroshalmi, head of Agricultural Projects at the Israeli Center for International Agricultural Development Cooperation (CINADCO).

MASHAV was launched in 1958 with the aim of sharing with developing nations the experience, expertise and technologies which provided the basis for Israel's rapid development.
