World Museum Day marked

Addis Ababa, May 18(ENA)-- World Museum Day was observed here on Tuesday under the theme "Museums and Intangible Heritage''.

The Day was observed for the 27th time internationally and for the second time in Ethiopia.

A panel discussion aimed at raising awareness on the intangible heritage was held in connection with the day.

The National Museum was visited by the public free of charge in connection with the day, Manager of the National Museum, Mamit Yilma said.

A paper presented at the discussion indicated that intangible heritage includes language, songs, symbolic and metaphorical meanings surrounding tangible objects
