Ethiopia, China sign MoU for cooperation in water dev't sector

Addis Ababa, May 18(ENA)-- Ethiopia and China on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding enabling them to cooperate in water resource development.

Ethiopian Minister Water Resources Development Shiferraw Jarso signed the agreement with his Chinese counterpart Wang Chung in a ceremony held at the hall of the Ministry.

In line with the MoU, China will provide various support including capacity building in the areas of rural water supply, irrigation development and hydro power generation.

Earlier, the six-member Chinese delegation led by Wang Chung visited natural and historical attractions in the Amhara and Tigray States.
