Registration
  1. A subscriber /customer should be registered in advance to get any type of service he needs.
  2. To get a service one can be registered in person at a nearby ETC office or through dialing up to the 97 call center.
  3. The customer shall give his regular address: Woreda, Kebele, house number as well as his other contact address for registration.

To get a service

  1. Within seven days after registration, the corporation informs a customer about the outcome of the registration following a technical test.
  2. When a line is available at a service provision area based on the technical investigation, the following requirements shall be made before signing a contract with the customer:-
    • If the customer had been a subscriber of any service rendered by the corporation and if he had terminated the subscription agreement, he should be free from arrears owed to him by the corporation.

    • If it is a private house for which a service is requested, an individual or an organization in need of the service, should submit a kebele identity card or a legal certificate testifying his belongingness to the house.

    • If a customer is in a rented house, he shall submit kebele identity card, letter from his employing organization or a document of his house rent agreement

    • A subscriber has to submit a telephone apparatus by purchasing it from licensed importers.

    • A customer is responsible for a line installation made at his/her house.

    • A customer is also responsible for removing any trees or construction that hinder the corporation’s line installation endeavor.
       

  3. Upon fulfilling the above eligibility criteria , a customer signs a subscription contract and receives a copy of the contract.
    • Pays a telephone installation service charge of Birr 242.
    • Following the signing of the subscription contract and settling a telephone installation charge, a customer gets an access to a service within four days.
    • When a customer has a petition, he can voice his/her complaint firstly to the compliant desk and then to the customer service head subsequently.
