ANNOUNCEMENT FOR POSTGRADUATE STUDY
The Graduate School of Telecommunications and Information
Technology
The Graduate School of Telecommunications and Information
Technology (GSTIT), a project of the Ethiopian Telecommunications
Corporation, is pleased to invite applications for admission
to Postgraduate programs in Telecommunications Engineering,
Information Technology and Telecom MBA.
Application form together with prospectus can be obtained
in person from the first date of this announcement up to
10 days from the Graduate School Project Office, Institute
of Telecommunication and Information Technology. The prescribed

Applicants who can fulfill the following entry requirement
can apply.
Entry Requirements
General Requirements:
1. The applicant must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point
Average (CGPA) of 2.5 upon graduation with a bachelor’s
degree in a relevant field from an accredited higher learning
institution.
2. The applicant should have at least two years of relevant
work experience after obtaining the bachelor’s degree.
3. The applicant must pass an entrance examination (entrance
examination date will be notified during registration).
4. The applicant shall be required to produce two letters
of recommendation, one from his/her undergraduate instructors
and one from his/her employer.
Program Specific Requirements:
Information Technology
The applicant must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer
Science or Computer Engineering or Information Technology
or other computing science fields from an acknowledged University
or equivalent institutions.
Telecom Engineering
A candidate must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical,
or Electronic, or Computer Engineering from a college or
a university of recognized standing.
Telecom MBA
A candidate who has a baccalaureate degree from a recognized
university in Accounting, or Finance, or Management, or
Economics, or Engineering Fields, or Statistics, or Mathematics
or any applied Science fields may apply for admission to
TELECOM MBA Program.
Application Deadline
Applications should be filled and be submitted with all
relevant documents along with a 50.00 Birr application fee
to the Project Office in person. The deadline for submission
of the completed application package is Sep 25, 2004.
